This is my tenth year at JNES but my first year serving as the assistant principal. I believe that every student has the ability to learn, and I strive to reinforce a learning environment that is rooted in high expectations for all learners. Families are integral to the learning process, and my door is always open for your input and collaboration.
Student safety is a top priority. We strive to create an environment where all students feel secure, valued, and empowered to take risks in their learning. We promote respectful relationships, clear routines, and consistent expectations across all settings. In doing this, we build the foundation for a positive school culture where learners can reach their maximum potential.
At the heart of our academic vision is a commitment to high-quality literacy instruction grounded in the science of reading. We believe every child can learn to read, and we support that belief through evidence-based practices, structured literacy approaches, and a focus on early intervention. Our teachers engage in ongoing professional learning to ensure they have the tools and knowledge to meet each student's unique learning needs.
JNES is more than a school--it's a community. We value the partnerships we have with families and organizations throughout the region, and we believe that working together, atautchikun, we can make great things happen!
